CLIFTON LIGHTSEY INC.
FOR SAID PROJECT, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
THE STOFiM AND SANITARY SEWF,R BOND FUNDS
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY INiANAGER TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, The City of Miami is currently coordinating plans
for the development of the Commercial Docks Property into a
cultural and park complex to be designated Bicentennial Park
and part of this development requires the relocation of the
City's 48-inch by 30-inch box storm sewer outfall and also the
60-inch overflow line from the N.E. 9 Street sanitary interceptor
pumping station, which 60-inch line is the responsibility of the
Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Authority; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami and the Miami -Dade Water and
Sewer Authority have reached an agreement as to the sharing of
engineering and construction costs for a junction boX and joint
outfall pipe of sufficient size to provide for both the storm
sewer and the overflow line; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet construction schedules for the
Bicentennial Park it is necessary to proceed as quickly as possible
with the construction of the joint outfall; and
WHEREAS, bido for this work were received September 11, 1973
under the job title N.E. 10 STREET STORM AND SANITARY OUTFALL
Ri'.LOCATION and the City Manager reports that the ti 154, 696 bid
of Clifton Lightsey, Inc. is the only bid, and it is'acceptable;
and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
O1'' NIAI•II, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Commission does hereby approve in
principle the joint sharing of engineering and construction costs
of a joint outfall pipe line to provide for relocation of the
48-;rich by 30-inch storm sewer outfall owned by The City of Miami
and the G0-inch overflow line owned by the Miami -Dade Water and
Sewer Authority, both lino; currently crossing the Commercial Docks
Property which property is being developed into a cultural and park
complex to be designated Bicentennial Park.
Section 2. That the bid of Clifton Lightsey, Inc.
in the estimated amount of $154,696 be and the same is hereby
accepted.
Section 3. That the amount of $ 88,010 be and it is hereby
allocated from the Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund and that the amount of
$ 85,250 be and it i.o, hereby allocated from the Storm Sewer
Bond Fund to cover the construction and other expenses related to
N.E. 10 STREET STORi AIM SANITARY OUTFALL RELOCATION with the under-
standing that upon reimbursement t by the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer
Authority, the reimbursed funds will be returned to the proper Bond
Fund Account.
Section 4. Tliat the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of I-Iiami
with Clifton Lightsey, Inc. for the
project entitled N.E. 10 STREET STORi• AND SANITARY OUTFALL RELOCATION.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this /3 day of 1973.
