A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
AUGUST 24, 1973, OF MIAMI FIRE EQUIPMENT
COMPANY, FOR SERVICING OF PORTABLE FIRE
EXTINGUISHERS, AS REQUIRED, FOR THE
PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 1, 1973 TO SEPTEMBER
.30, 1974, OF THE TYPE AND PRICES INDICATED
HEREIN, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
AGENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ISSUE
PURCHASE ORDERS, AS REQUIRED, AFTER FIRST
HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE.

WHEREAS, bids were received August 24, 1973 by the City
Manager and City Clerk for the servicing of portable fire ex-
tinguishers, as required, for the period from October 1, 1973 to
September 30, 1974, of the type and prices listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of Miami
Fire Equipment Company is the lowest and best bid and recommends
that the same be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received August 24, 1973 of Miami Fire
Equipment Company, for servicing of portable fire extinguishers, as
required, for the period from October 1, 1973 to September 30, 1974
of the following type and prices indicated below:
REPAIRS INSPECTION REFILLS HYDRO TEST TOTAL
Parts less 25% $30.00 $141.50 No Charge $171.50
be and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Agent of the City of Miami
to issue purchase orders for the servicing of items described
in Section 1 above, after first having determined that funds are
available.
