A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO REQUEST METROPOLITAN
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA TO DEDICATE
TO THE CITY OF MIAMI CERTAIN LAND
NEEDED FOR THE EXPANSION OF DIXIE
COMMUNITY PARK.
WHEREAS, under the Urban Renewal Program Project
Florida A-1, Area No. 3, the City of Miami, as a part of the
local government contribution, agreed to improve and expand
the Dixie Community Park facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Capital Improvement
Program has programmed for 1974-75 major improvements to
Dixie Community Park utilizing funds derived from the 1972
Parks for People Bond Program; and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County, Florida has in-
formed the City of Miami that it now holds title to, and
stands ready to dedicate to the City of Miami, a parcel of
land lying between the existing Dixie Community Park and
N.W. Third Avenue between N.W. 12 and 13 Streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized
and directed to request Metropolitan Dade County, Florida
to dedicate to the City of Miami certain land needed for the
expansion of Dixie Community Park as described as follows:
Lots 1 through 14 of PARRY SUBDIVISION according
to the plat thereof as recorded in the Official
Records of Dade County, Florida in Plat Book B
on Page 127.
