Charter Amendment No. 2: Shall Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami be amended by adding the provision to include sidewalks and landscaping as all or as part of high- way improvements if the City Commission so orders and further providing that such improvements may be financed with any funds available for highway con- struction as more fully set forth in Ordinance No. 8175 dated July 26, 1973? Charter Amendment No. 3: Shall Section 56 (llli) be amended by adding a new paragraph containing the provision that upon showing of financial hardship by the property owner the cost of the connection of the property owner's premises with the lateral raay be made by the City from any funds available for sanitary sewer construction; which cost shall constitute a lien upon the house, land and premises and shall be payable in equal annual installments with interest as provided for by the City Commission, as more fully set forth in Ordinance No. 8176 dated July 26, 1973? 5 Charter Amendment No. 4: Shall Section 58(b) of the Charter of the City of Miami be amended by deleting the requirement of 6% maximum interest and substituting a maximum "Interest not to exceed the rate provided for in the Statutes. of the State of Florida" and deleting the requirement 'that the "principal and interest be payable in gold coin" and substituting therefor "legal tender of the United States", as more fully set forth in Ordinance No. 8177 dated July 26, 1973? Charter Amendment No. 5: Shall Section 56(P) of the Charter of the City of Miami be amended by deleting the limitation on the number of years in which the special assessment for improvements shall be repaid from ten (10) succeeding years "or such shorter period" adding the term ten (10) years or such period, as more fully set forth in Ordinance No. 8178 dated July 26, 1973? Charter Amendment No. 6: Shall Section 8 of the Charter of the City of Miami be amended by adding a paragraph containing a provision that all such qualifying fees shall be deposited with the said City Clerk no later than 6:00 P.M. on the 45th day prior to the election, as more fully set forth in Ordinance No. 8179 dated July 26, 1973? Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish once in the Miami herald and once in the Miami News, newspapers of general circulation published in the City of Miami, a notice of said special municipal election in substantially the following form, to wit: NOTICE OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION, CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, THE 6TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1973, PURSUANT TO CITY OF MIAMI ORDINANCES NO. 8175 THROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 8180 INCLUSIVE, FOR THE APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL OF THE .FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: Charter Amendment No. 1: Shall Section 21 of the Charter of the City of Miami be amended by adding a paragraph containing a provision that the City Attorney of the City of Miami shall be a full time governmental employee; shall not engage in the private practice of law; and, upon his election by the City Commission, shall serve until the time for•the election of the City officials specified in Section 4 (c) of the Charter which follows the next general municipal election, as more fully set forth in Ordinance No. 8180, dated July 26, 1973?
