RESOLUTION APPROVING IN PRINCIPLE THE ESTAB-
LISHMENT OF SPECIAL CHARGE ACCOUNTS FOR HOTELS
AND MOTELS IN THE MIAMI AREA FOR LEJEUNE GOLF
COURSE AND MIAMI SPRINGS GOLF COURSE GREENS
FEES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEVELOP
FORMAL AGREEMENTS BETWEEN SAID HOTE;.S AND MOTELS
TO SET CRITERIA FOR THE ACCOUNTING AND PAYMENT
PROCEDURES, AND TO SUBMIT THE AGREEMENTS TO THE
CITY COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL7SUBJECT FURTHER TO
A CONDITION THAT ADVANCE DEPOSITS OF SUITABLE SIZE
TO ADEQUATELY COVER THE CHARGE ACCOUNTS BE REQUIRED
FOR THOSE PERSONS OR ORGANIZATIONS APPLYING FOR SAID PRIVELEGE
WHEREAS, there are several hotels and motels in the Miami
area that have requested the City of Miami to extend to their
guests special privileges; namely, credit rights to be billed
directly to the particular hotel or motel when using the LeJeune
Golf Course facilities, said facilities being limited to grounds
play and cart usage; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration is receptive to such requests,
and will ascertain the financial structure of each particular hotel
and motel prior to entering into any such agreement as herein
expressed, so that the City of Miami can confidently extend such
credit courtesy; and
WHEREAS, an agreement between the parties concerned can be
..drawn for the full protection,of each part that will establish the
criteria for the credit rights to be granted and will set forth the
accounting and payment procedures to be exercised in implementing
said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of Miami does
hereby approve in principle the establishment of a Special Charge

Account for the various hotels and motels in the Miami area for
LeJeune Golf Course fees and that the Department of Finance of
the City of Miami be, and it hereby is, authorized to establish
said accounts, according to the guidelines of the agreement as
hereinafter authorized.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he hereby is,
authorized and directed to develop a formal agreement with each
of the various hotels or motels requesting the use of the LeJeune
Golf Course facilities, establishing the criteria for the credit
rights to be granted and setting forth ;:he accounting and payment
procedures to be exercised in implementing said agreements and to
submit the agreements to the City Commission for approval. :4
