RESOLUTION NO. ~ 6 OP
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SIX-MONTH EX-
TENSION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE OF
75 FOR CHARLES I. BERRY, CUSTODIAN I,
PUBLICITY AND TOURISM DEPARTMENT,
EFFECTIVE JUNE 17, 1973 TO DECEMBER 17,
1973, WITH THE PROVISION THAT IN THE
EVENT OF A ROLLBACK OR LAYOFF, MR. BERRY,
RATHER THAN A JUNIOR EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE
AFFECTED.

WHEREAS, the Director, Publicity and Tourism Department,
has recommended an extension of employment past the age of 75 for
Charles I. Berry, Custodian I, Publicity and Tourism Department,
effective June 17, 1973 to December 17, 1973; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the
physical condition of said Charles I. Berry is satisfactory for

continued employment; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board has unanimously
recommended the approval of employment past the age of 75 for said
Charles I. Berry for an additional six (6) months,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A six-month extension of employment past the
age of 75 for Charles I. Berry, Custodian I, Publicity and Tourism
Department, effective June 17, 1973 to December 17, 1973, is hereby
approved, with the provision that in the event of a rollback or
layoff, Mr. Berry, rather than a junior employee, would be affected.
