HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-73-0557f '73 JUL ( f t1!,1 10 : 5 2 RESOLUTION NO. 70~$7.7 A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $20,914 TO COVER THE COST OF INSTALLING MATERIALS FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "CITY -OWNED PARKING LOTS - LIGHTING - 1973"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR CERTAIN WORK; AND AUTHORIZING CITY FORCES TO PERFORM THE BALANCE OF THE WORK. WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice, price quotations were received on June 29, 1973 for the installation of lighting materials under the project entitled "CITY -OWNED PARKING LOTS - LIGHTING - 1973"; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the following are the lowest bids (acceptable): Robert King High Park - Professional Electrical Idorningside Park - Profess ional Electrical Moore Park - LaVigne Electric Company Lummus Park - LaVine Electric Company and recommends that purchase orders be is:-.ued for these jobs. He further reports that the Property Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Properties will be able to make the necessary installation in Manor Park and Edison Park for the estimated amounts of $1,400 and $870, respectively. WHEREAS, funds to cover tiie cost of these projects are available for allocation from the fund entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the amount of $20,914 be, and it is hereby, allocated from the Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds account to cover the cost of the project entitled "CITY -OWNED PARKING LOTS - LIGHTING - 1973". Ir Section 2. That the following price quotations be, and the same is hereby, accepted: (a) Robert King High Park Professional Electrical - $1,625.00 (b) Morningside Park - Professional Electrical - $12,110.00 (c) Moore Park - LaVigne Electric Company - $ 1,382.00 (d) Lummus Park - LaVigne Electric Company - $ 1,287.00 Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue Purchase Orders to the aforesaid firms. Section 4. That City Forces be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make the necessary installations at Manor Park and Edison Park for amounts not to exceed $1,400 and $870, respectively.
