A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED JUNE 14, 19y3'6
OF MARKS BROTHERS COMPANY (NOT INC.) IN THE ESTIMATED
AMOUNT OF $193,310 FOR THE BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT H-4357 IN BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT H-4357; ALLOCATING THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT
OF $137,897 FROM THE "HIGHWAY GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND
FUND" AND ALLOCATING $75,610 FROM THE "STORM SEWER BOND
FUND"; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT THEREFOR
WHEREAS, bids were received June 14,1973 for the
BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4357; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Marks Brothers Company (not inc.) in the amount of $193,310 is the
only bid, and it is acceptable, and recommends that contract be
awarded to said company; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $137,897 are
available for allocation from the account entitled "Highway General
Obligation Bond Fund"; and $75,610 from the "Storm Sewer Bond Fund".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
Section 1. That the bid of Marks Brothers Company (not inc.)
received June 14, 1973 for BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4357,
namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on unit prices, at a total
estimated cost of $193,310 be accepted.
Section 2. That the additional amount of $137,897 be,
and it is hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Highway
General Obligation Bond Fund" and $75,610 allocated from the
account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund:
Section 3. That the City Manager be authorized and
directed to enter into a contract in behalf of the City of Miami
for BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4357 in BISCAYNE EAST
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4357.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 402, day of 1973.
