HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-73-0501SRS/ts 6/18/73 RESOLUTION NO. ,7 g-%. y 1}t l A '73 JUN Z 2 4,4 10 .%t A RESOLUTION ORDERING SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, SECTION B, H-4365; DESIGNATING PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENT SHALL BE MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF AS SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, SECTION B, H-4365; AND ALLOCATING THE SUM OF $1,000.00 TO COVER PRELIMINARY COSTS. WHEREAS, the area between S.W. 8 Street and S.W. 22 Street between S.W. 27 Avenue and S.W. 17 Avenue is included in the 1972-76 Capital Improvement Program as Project No. 137, Shenandoah Highway Improvement, and WHEREAS, the pavement surface is deteriorating and the side parkways are in poor condition on certain streets in this area and it is necessary to widen and remacadamize these streets, provide drainage facilities and install curb and gutter, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A local improvement described as SHENANDOAH IiIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, SECTION B, H-4365 is hereby ordered under Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, on S.W. 18 Street between S.W. 17 Avenue and S.W. 18 Avenue, S.W. 18 Street between S.W. 19 Avenue and S.W. 21 Avenue, S.W. 21 Street between S.W. 18 Avenue and S.W. 21 Avenue, S.W. 21 Terrace between S.W. 18 Avenue and S.W. 21 Avenue, and on S.W. 25 Avenue between S.W. 19 Street and S.W. 21 Terrace, which IMPROVEMENT shall include widening the existing pavement to a maximum width of 28-feet, rework existing pavement where necessary, and leveling and remacadamizing with 1-inch w�. thickness Type I asphaltic concrete surface course maximum 28-feet wide, construction of concrete curbs and gutters, necessary intersections and returns, drainage structures, and sodding. Section 2. This IMPROVEMENT shall be designated in all proceedings and assessments as SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT, SECTION B, H-4365 and the property against which special assessments shall be made for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall bedesignated as SHENANDOAH HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, SECTION B, H-4365. Section 3. The sum of $1,000.00 is hereby allocated from the Highway Bond Fund for preliminary expense. PASSED AND ADOPTED this Obday of 4 E 1973. PREPARED AND APPROVED B : S. R.
