RESOLUTION NO. 7.3
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY
AND CONDOLENCES OF THE MAYOR AND COMMIS-
SIONERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AS WELL AS
ALL OF THE CITIZENS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI TO THE FAMILY OF THE LATE
ROBERT A. RICHMOND WHOSE UNTIMELY PASSING
AT AGE 50 HAS DEPRIVED THIS COMMUNITY OF
A MOST RESPECTED CITIZEN AND EMPLOYEE.
WHEREAS, ROBERT A. RICHMOND, born in Cold Spring,
New York, graduated from the 't;nibe:rsity of Miami in 1956 with
a degree in business administration; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT A. RICHMOND joined the staff of the
Civil Service Board of the City of Miami in 1957 rising to the
position of Executive Secretary in 1963, in which capacity he
served for approximately nine years; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT A. RICHMOND acted as Campaign Manager
for the late Mayor Robert King High in 1957; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT A. RICHMOND was an Air Corps veteran
of World War II and was listed in the 1971-72 edition of "Who's
Who in the South and Southwest;"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Mayor and Commissioners of the City
of Miami, Florida, as well as all of the citizens and employees
of the City of Miami, hereby express their deepest sympathy and

condolences to the members of the family of the late ROBERT A.
RICHMOND whose untimely death has deprived this community of
a most respected citizen and employee.
