RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER,
M. L. REESE, TO MAKE CERTIFICATIONS
ESTABLISHING THE FAIR MARKET VALUE AND
SUCH OTHER ACTIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY
TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS OF
GRANT ELIGIBILITY FOR PROPERTY TO BE
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI.
WHEREAS, under guidelines established pursuant to
the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition
Policies Act of 1970, an authorized official acting under
a general resolution may submit to HUD appropriate
certification, which, among other things:
a. Establishes just compensation for each property.
b. Identifies each property by name of owner,
parcel number or other identification.
c. Delimits the property and the interest to be
acquired therein.
d. Certifies that the work of the appraisers and
the review appraiser with respect to each property has been
performed in a competent manner in accordance with applicable
State Law, and Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, Public Law 91-646, and
the Department of Housing and Urban Development policies and
requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager of the City
'of Miami, M. L. Reese, is hereby authorized to make such

certifications and to perform all necessary and/or desirable
actions to comply with the guidelines set forth in HUD
Handbook for Real Property Acquisition (1320.1, Chapter 2)
as they presently exist and as they may be amended by HUD.
