A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF $1,495.00
TO LEONARD S. WEGMAN CO., INC., of 101 PARK
AVENUE, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES RENDERED AT PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE
THE DADE COUNTY POLLUTION CONTROL HEARING
BOARD CONCERNING CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE
20TH STREET INCINERATOR.
WHEREAS, the Dade County Pollution Control Hearing Board
has held various hearings concerning the continued operation
of the 20th Street Incinerator and inquiring as to what the
City of Miami is doing in order to make the 20th Street In-
cinerator comply with the Dade County Pollution laws; and
WHEREAS, Leonard S. Wegman C., Inc. has designed, super-
vised installation, inspected and adjusted the latest improve-
ments in the 20th Street Incinerator consisting of installation
of overfire air jet system at each of the six furnaces; and
WHEREAS, Leonard S. Wegman Co., Inc. prepared a report
and presentation which was personally made by Leonard S. Wegman
before the Dade County Pollution Control Hearing Board which
resulted in the granting of a 1-year variance to the City of
Miami for the continued operation of the 20th Street Incinerator;
and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this payment of $1,495.00
to Leonard S. Wegman Co., Inc. from the funds previously allo-
cated for the modifications to the 20th Street Incinerator;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. That the amount of $1,495.00 be paid to
the firm of Leonard S. Wegman Co., Inc. for their professional
services rendered which resulted in a 1-year variance for the
continued operation of the 20th Street Incinerator.
