THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR
THE CITY OF MIAMI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION FOR THAT PORTION OF LOT 3,
LESS NORTHEASTERLY 420' LYING NORTH OF
EXTENSION OF N. E. 69TH STREET, BLOCK 1,
MCKAY TOWERS (75-18), LOCATED AT 880
N. E. 69th STREET, PROM R-1 (ONE -FAMILY)
DISTRICT TO R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE)
DISTRICT; AND BY MAKING THE NECESSARY CHANGES
IN THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP MADE A PART
OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 6871 BY REFERENCE AND
DESCRIPTION IN ARTICLE III, SECTION 2,
THEREOF; AND BY REPEALING ALL LAWS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH.
16 of Miami, at its meeting held on March 26, 1973, passed
17 and adopted by a 7 to 1 vote its Resolution No. 73-75,
18 recommending granting a change in zoning classification,
19 as hereinafter set forth; and
20 WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable in the best
21 interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and
22 its inhabitants to grant a change in zoning classification,
23 as hereinafter set forth;
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
25 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
26 Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive
27 Zoning Ordinance for the City of Miami, be and the same
28 is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of
29 that portion of Lot 3, less northeasterly 420' lying north of
30 extension of N. E. 69th Street, Block 1, MCKAY TOWERS (75-18),
31 located at 880 N. E. 69th Street, from R--1 (One -Family)
32 •istrict to R-4 (Medium Density Multiple) District; and by
33 aking the necessary changes in the zoning district map made

part of said Ordinance No. 6871 by reference and description

Section 2. That all laws, or parts of laws, in
conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed
insofar as the above described land is involved.
Section 3. It is declared to be the legislative
intent of this body that if any section, subsection, sentence,
phrase or provision'of this Ordinance is held invalid, the
remainder of the Ordinance shall not be affected.

At its meeting of March 26, 1973, the Miami Planning Board
adopted Resolution (a) No. 73-75 by a 7 to 1 vote (one member
absent) recommending the Change of Zoning.
IMPORTANT
The City Commission requests that PETITIONER be present or
represented at this meeting, and all interested real estate
owners are invited to express their views.
The petition and supporting papers concerning this item are
available for review at the Planning Board Office, 3318 Pan
American Drive, Dinner Key.

The Miami Planning Board, at its meeting of March 26, 1973, Item
#11 (a), following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
73-75 by a 7 to 1 vote (one member absent), recommending Change
of Zoning Classification for that portion of Lot 3, less north-
easterly 420' lying north of extension of N. E. 69th Street,
Block 1, MCKAY TOWERS (75-18), located at 880 N. E. 69th Street,
from R-1 (One -Family) to R-4 (Medium Density Multiple).
NOTE: Request was for Change of Zoning from R-1 (One -Family) to
to R-5 (High Density Multiple) - Recommendation was from
R-1 (One -Family) to R-4 (Medium Density Multiple).
Seventeen objections were received in the mail.
An ORDINANCE to provide for this Change of Zoning has been pre-
pared by the City Attorney's office and submitted for considera-
tion of the City Commission.
