' 13 NAY i r 41 3 : 1.11 RESOLUTION NO. 78° 03 3 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID AS RECEIVED FROM MOTOROLA TELEPROGRAMS, INC. FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAMS AT A COST OF $3,015.00, AND FROM SPIRE AUDIO VISUAL CO., INC. FOR THE CASSETTE PLAYER AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT AT A COST OF $1,590.00, AT A TOTAL COST OF $4,605.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME. WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received April 5, 1973 for furnishing a cassette player, Law Enforcement Programs and associated equipment for use by the Police Department; and WHEREAS, invitations to bid were mailed to fourteen (14) potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was received from Motorola Teleprograms, Inc. for furnishing the Law Enforcement Programs for use by the Police Department at a cost of $3,015.00; and WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was received from Spire Audio Visual Co., Inc. for furnishing a cassette player and associated equipment for use by the Police Department at a cost of $1,590.00; and WHEREAS, the total cost for the Law Enforcement Programs and the cassette player and associated equipment is $4,605.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: i Section 1. The lowest and best bid as received from Motorola Teleprograms, Inc. for furnishing Law Enforcement Programs for use by the Police Department at a cost of $3,015.00 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order for same, providing funds are available. Section 2. The lowest and best bid as received from Spire Audio Visual Co., Inc. for furnishing a cassette player and associated equipment for use by the Police Department at a cost of $1,590.00 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a purchase order for same, providing funds are available.
