A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE POLICY OF THE CITY
COMMISSION THAT A REQUESTED INCREASE IN PENSION
BENEFITS FOR RETIRED EMPLOYEES BE INCLUDED IN
THE 1973-74 BUDGET AND THAT SHOULD ANY FUNDS
BECOME AVAILABLE WHICH MIGHT BE USED FOR THIS
PURPOSE BEFORE THAT TIME THAT IMMEDIATE STEPS
BE TAKEN T0-IMPLEMENT SUCH AN INCREASE IN SAID
PENSION BENEFITS AND THAT SUCH INCREASE WHEN
AND,IF IMPLEMENTED BE ADDED TO THE CITY"S
CONTRIBUTION TO THE RETIREMENT FUND
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
That the City Commission of the City of Miami is
declaring the policy that a requested increase in pension
benefits for retired employees be included in the 1973-74
budget and that should any funds become available which
migl-t be used for this purpose before that time, that immediate
steps be taken to implement such an increase in said pension
benefits and that such increase when and if implemented be
added to the City's contribution to the retirement fund.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of May, 1973.
