A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF AMOCO OIL
COMPANY RECEIVED APRIL 17, 1973 FOR FURNISHING
APPROXIMATELY 53,000 GALLONS OF LEADFREE
GASOLINE, MINIMUM OF 100 OCTANE, AS REQUIRED,
FOR USE IN FIRE FIGHTING VEHICLES ANJ) APPARATUS
DURING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 1, 1973 THROUGH APRIL
30, 1974, IN THE AMOUNT OF .2450 PER GALLON PLUS
8STATE TAX FOR A TOTAL DELIVERED PRICE PER
GALLON OF .3250, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE
PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THE SAME, FROM TIME TO TIME,
AFTER FIRST DETERMINING THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR
THAT PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, a bid was received on April 17, 1973 for
furnishing approximately 53,000 gallons of leadfree gasoline,
minimum of 100 octane, as required, for use in fire fighting
vehicles and apparatus during the period from May 1, 1973
through April 30, 1974, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid of
Amoco Oil Company, in the amount of .2450 per gallon plus
.Be State Tax for a total delivered price per gallon of .3250,
be accepted as the bid most advantageous to the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of Amoco Oil Company, received on
April 17, 1973, for furnishing approximately 53,000 gallons
of leadfree gasoline, minimum of 100 octane, as required, for
use in fire fighting vehicles and apparatus during the period
from May 1, 1973 through April 30, 1974, in the amount of
.2450 per gallon plus BeState Tax for a total delivered
price per gallon of .3250, is hereby accepted and the City
Manager is authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing
Division to issue purchase orders for the same, from time
to time, after first determining that funds budgeted for
that purpose are available.
