A RESOLUTION GRANTING A "CONDITIONAL //.
USE", AS PROVIDED IN ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ' so
ARTICLE VIII, SECTION 1(11)(c), TO
PERMIT 1ST FLOOR AND 5TH FLOOR ADDITIONS
TO EXISTING HIGHLAND PARE MEMORIAL
HOSPITAL, UNDER CONCURRENT PETITION FOR
VARIANCES, N. M. C. CENTER (86-96)
TRACTS A& B, LOCATED AT 1660 N. W. 7TH
COURT, SITE ZONED R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY
MULTIPLE) DISTRICT.

WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Board
of the City of Miami, at its meeting held on April 9,
1973, passed and adopted by a 8 to 0 vote its Resolution
No. 73-84, recommending granting a "conditional use" as
provided in Ordinance No. 6871, Article VIII, Section
1(11)(c), as hereinafter set forth; and this Commission
deers it advisable to the public convenience and welfare
and finds that the use will not be detrimental or injurious
to the character or the development of the immediate neighborhood;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAf1I, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a"conditional
use" as provided in Ordinance No. 6871, Article VIII,
Section 1(11)(c), to permit 1st Floor and 5th Floor additions
to existing Highland Park Memorial Hospital, under
concurrent petition for variances, N. M. C. CENTER (86-96),
Tracts A & B, located at 1660 N. W. 7th Court, site zoned
R-4 (Medium Density Multiple), be and the same is hereby
granted.
Section 2. This conditional use shall become
null and void unless the use is commenced within six months
of the effective date of this Resolution. Upon application,
the City Manager may, after review and determination that

substantial progress has been achieved by the applicant
in terms of project planning, extend the expiration date
of the conditional use for an additional period of time
not to exceed one (1) year. Said extension request shall
be filed with the City Manager two (2) weeks prior to
the expiration date of the initial six (6) months effective
period of the conditional use.

Gentlemen:
The Miami Planning Board, at its meeting of April 9, 1973, Item
#2 (a), following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
73-84 by an 8_to 0 vote recommending "Conditional Use" as listed
in Ordinance No. 6871, ARTICLE VIII, Section 1 (11) (c), to permit
1st floor and 5th floor additions to existing Highland Park
Memorial Hospital, under concurrent petition for Variances, on
Tracts A and B, N. M. C. CENTER (86-96), located at 1660 N. W. 7th
Court; zoned R-4 (Medium Density Multiple).
One objection was received in the mail.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this "Conditional Use" has been pre-
pared by the City Attorney's office and submitted for considera-
tion of the City Commission.
