AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
NO. 8099 TO PROVIDE FOR ADJUSTMENT OF SALARIES OP
THE CITY MANAGER, ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER, CITY
ATTORNEY AND ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEP.
ARTMENT OF LAW, DEPARTMENT DIRECTORS, ASSISTANT
DEPARTMENT DIRECTORS, POLICE MAJORS, CHIEF -FIRE
PREVENTION, FIRE TRAINING DIRECTOR, INTERNAL AUD-
ITOR, ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR AND PURCHASING
AGENT AND PROPERTY MANAGER; DECREEING THIS ORD-
INANCE TO BE AN EMERGENCY MEASURE; DISPENSING
WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON TWO SEPARATE
DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OP THB
MEMBERS OF THB COMMISSION; REPEALING ALL LAWS OR
PARTS OP LAWS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OP THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The salaries of the following named officers of
the City of Miami are hereby established subject to the prc,'' ;nays

Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency enc measure on the ground of urgent public need for the preservation

of peace, 'health, safety and property of The City of Miami.
Section 3. That the requirement of reading this Ordinance on
two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not Yens than four -fifths
of the members of the Commission.
