A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
APRIL 16, 1973 FROM LAMAR UNIFORM COMPANY
FOR FURNISHING POLICE UNIFORMS, AS REQUIRED,
FOR THE PERIOD FROM MAY 1ST, 1973 THRU
DECEMBER 31ST, 1973, AT AN APPROXIMATE TOTAL
COST OF $18,883.40, UNIT PRICES AS PER THE
ATTACHED, LIST; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DIVISION TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FROM TIME
TO TIME FOR SAME, AFTER FIRST DETERMINING
THAT THE FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Manager and
City Clerk on April 16, 1973 for furnishing police uniforms,
as required, for the period from May 1st, 1973 to December 31,
1973, for the Police Department of the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
LAMAR UNIFORM COMPANY, at the unit prices per attached list,
is the lowest and best bid (acceptable) and recommends that
said bid be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of LAMAR UNIFORM COMPANY for
furnishing police uniforms, as required, for the period from
May 1st, 1973 thru December 31st, 1973, at an approximate
total cost of $18,883.40, unit prices as per the attached list,
be and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue purchase
orders from time to time, for same, after first determining
that funds are available for same.
