A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED APRIL 19, 1973 OF
MARKS BROTHERS COMPANY IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,072,810.15
FOR SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4342 IN SOUTH
BAYSHORE DRIVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4342; ALLOCATING
THE AMOUNT OF $921,591 FROM THE HIGHWAY BOND FUND AND $279,956
FROM THE STORM SEWER BOND FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT THEREFOR
WHEREAS, bids were received April 19, 1973 for the SOUTH
BAYSHORE DRIVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4342; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $921,591 are available
for allocation from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" and
$279,956 from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund"; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Marks Brothers Company is the lowest bid is the lowest bid (acceptable)
and recommends that contract be awarded to said company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of Marks Brothers Company received
April 19,1973 for SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4342,
namely Items A,C,D,E, and Additive Items 10 and 12 of Proposal, based
on unit prices, at a total estimated cost of $1,072,810.15 be accepted.
Section 2. That the amount of $921,591 be allocated from
the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" and the amount of $279,956
be allocated from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund".
Section 3. That the City Manager be authorized and
directed to enter into a contract in behalf of the City of Miami
for the construction of SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
H-4342• in SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4342.
