RESOLUTION NO. 7' ` 3/
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
AS RECEIVED FROM SKINNER ENGINE COMPANY FOR
FURNISHING PARTS FOR A TROY-ENGBERG TYPE "E"
STEAM ENGINE FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF
SANITATION, AT A TOTAL COST OF $1,901.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE
PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER
FOR SAME.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received April 9, 1973, for furnishing parts for a Troy-Engberg
Type "E" Steam Engine for use by the Department of Sanitation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to seven (7) potential
suppliers and one (1) bid was received; and
WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was received from
Skinner Engine Company for furnishing parts for a Troy-Eiigberg
Type "E" Steam Engine for use by the Department of Sanitation, at
a total cost of $1,901.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The lowest and best bid as received from
Skinner Engine Company for furnishing parts for a Troy-Engberg
Type "E" Steam Engine for use by the Department of Sanitation, at
a total cost of $1,901.00 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager
is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue

a purchase order for'same.
