A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID
AS RECEi:`'ED FROM GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR
FURNISHING TWO BASE RADIO STATIONS FOR $7,677.00
AND ONE REMOTE CONTROL CONSOLE FOR $455.00, AND
ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID AS RECEIVED
FROM MOTOROLA, INC. FOR ONE COMPARATOR UNIT FOR
$2,480.00; SEVEN RECEIVER -ENCODER UNITS FOR
$10,465.00; FOUR POWER REVERTING PANELS AND
BATTERIES FOR $720.00; TWO FILTERS FOR $250.00;
ONE FILTER FOR $130.00; AND ONE RECEIVER MULTI -
COUPLER FOR $750.00, FOR A COMBINED TOTAL COST
OF $22,927.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DIVISION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR SAME.

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received March 29, 1973,
by the City Manager and City Clerk for furnishing two base radio
stations, one remote control console, one comparator unit, seven
receiver -encoder units, four power reverting panels and batteries,
two filters, one filter and one receiver multicoupler; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
General Electic Company is the lowest and best bid for two base
radio stations and one remote control console, and recommends
that the same be accepted; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Motorola, Inc. is the lowest and best bid for one comparator unit,
seven receiver -encoder units, four power reverting panels and
batteries, two filters, one filter and one receiver multicoupler,
and recommends that the same be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received March 29, 1973, of General
Electric Company for two base radio stations and one remote control
console be, and the same is, hereby accepted.

Section 2. The bid received March 29, 1973, of
Motorola, Inc. for one comparator unit, seven receiver -encoder
units, four power reverting panels and batteries, two filters,
one filter and one receiver multicoupler be, and the same is,
hereby accepted.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Division of the City of Miami
to issue purchase orders for the items described in Section 1 and
Section 2, above, as required.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 41 day of April, 1973.
