A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED FOR
FURNISHING AND DELIVERING CHEMICALS FOR USE
BY THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT, AS REQUIRED,
FROM APRIL 1, 1973 TO MARCH 31, 1974, SAID
AWARDS BEING MADE UPON THE LOWEST AND BEST
BID AMOUNTS AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FROM TIME
TO TIME AFTER FIRST DETERMINING THAT FUNDS
ARE AVAILABLE THEREFOR.
- WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids
were received for furnishing chemicals for use by the Sanitation
Department, as required, from April 1, 1973 to March 31, 1974;
and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to ten (10) poten-
tial suppliers and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recomm<.nds that the bids
of all the firms indicated in Section 1 of this resolution,
in the particular amounts as listed therein be accepted as
the lowest and best bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following listed bids to furnish
and deliver the indicated chemicals for use by the Sanitation
Department, as required, from April 1, 1973 to March 31, 1974
are hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a
purchase order from time to time after first determining
that funds are available therefor:
