RESOLUTION NO. 73 —2 70
A RESOLUTION AMENDING ORDERING
RESOLUTION NO. 73-96 WHICH ORDERED
VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
H-4358 BY DELETING VIRGINIA STREET
AND OAK AVENUE FROM SAID DISTRICT;
CONFIRMING RICE STREET FROM GRAND AVENUE
TO OAK AVENUE AND FLORIDA AVENUE FROM
VIRGINIA STREET TO MARY STREET; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
FOR SEALED BIDS FOR. THE CONSTRUCTION
OF VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
H-4358 IN VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4358, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, at the City Commission meeting of
February 8, 1973, Resolution No. 73-96 as passed which
ordered a highway improvement identified as VIRGINIA
GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4358; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice a public
hearing was held before the City Commission on March 8,
1973, as to any objections to the confirmation of
Resolution No. 73-96, which ordered VIRGINIA GROVE
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4358; and
WHEREAS, as a result of objections from the
property owners in this District, it was decided to defer
this public hearing until April 19, 1973, pursuant to due
legal notice; and
WHEREAS, due to the same objections, it was
decided to delete Virginia Street and Oak Avenue from
Ordering Resolution No. 73-96 and confirm Rice street
from Grand Avenue to Oak Avenue and Florida Avenue from
Virginia Street to Mary Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CQMMtSSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Ordering Resolution No. 73-96 which
ordered VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4358 is
hereby amended to delete Virginia Street and Oak Avenue
from VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4358.
Section,2. Ordering Resolution No. 73-96, as
amended, which will consist of Rice Street from Grand
Avenue to Oak Avenue and Florida Avenue from Virginia
Street to Mary Street is hereby confirmed.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Miami
is authorized to advertise for sealed bids for the
construction of VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4358
in VIRGINIA GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT h-4358,
as amended.
