HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-73-0243SRS/ts 4/3/73 RESOLUTION NO. 73 • ,,,, �I Cf MA:NA (,Ff_11I4M �t '13 APR 5 P14 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ISSUE TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION A PERMIT TO INSTALL NEW ILS OUTER MARKER POLES IN THE STREET RIGHT OF WAY OF NORTH MIAMI AVENUE AS HEREIN DESCRIBED. WHEREAS, during their approach to airports modern aircraft rely upon the instrument landing system to guide the aircraft to a proper landing, and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the FAA to install a power pole and an' outer marker pole in North Miami Avenue as a part of the instrument landing system for the Miami International Airport, and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has investigated the request of the FAA and reports that the installation of these two poles will not interfere with any City facility or utility, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The proper officials of the City of Miami be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary permit to the FAA for the installation of a power pole, an underground cable, and an outer marker pole as required for the instrument landing system for Miami International Airport, said poles to be in the parkway area on the east side of North Miami Avenue, north of N.W. 30th Street, at the approximate location and as described in the attached two drawings dated March 28, 1973 and identified as 7 3 -2te "FAA-ILS Outer Marker - RWY 27 R Miami INTL". 1973.
