A RESOLUTION TO DEFER UNTIL THE NEXT MEET-
ING OF THE COMMISSION CONSIDERATION OF THE
CREATION OF A LATIN COMMUNITY RIVERFRONT
PARK ON THE MIAMI RIVER PENDING THE RECOM-
MENDATION FROM THE LATIN TASK FORCE ON
PARKS AND OPEN SPACE WITH RESPECT TO AN
ALTERNATE SITE FOR SAID PARK, AND REQUEST-
ING THE DIRECTOR OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT
TO MEET WITH SAID TASK FORCE AND ALL INTER-
ESTED PARTIES AND SUBMIT RECOMMENDATIONS TO
THE CITY COMMISSION AT ITS NEXT MEETING AS '
TO A POSSIBLE ALTERNATE SITE FOR SAID PARK
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
That consideration of the creation of a Latin Community
Riverfront Park on the Miami River be, and it is, hereby de-
ferred until the next meeting of the Commission pending the
recommendation from the Latin Task Force on Parks and Open
Space with respect to an alternate site for said park, and
that the Director of the Planning Department be, and he is,
hereby requested to meet with said task force.and all interested
parties and submit recommendations to the City Commission at
its next meeting as to a possible alternate site for -said park.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of March, 1973.
