A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED MARCH 19,
1973 OF BRANAM ELECTRIC CO., INC. IN THE ESTIMATED
AMOUNT OF $60,292 FOR THE MARINE STADIUM PARKING
LOT LIGHTING - 1973; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PERFORM CERTAIN ADDITIONAL WORK BY CITY FORCES
OR BY NEGOTIATED CONTRACT; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT
OF $69,767 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED"CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND - UNALLOCATED FUNDS"; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT THEREFOR
WHEREAS, bids were received March 19, 1973 for the MARINE
STADIUM PARKING LOT LIGHTING - 1973; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Branam Electric Co., Inc. in the amount of $60,292 is the lowest
bid (acceptable) and recommends that contract be awarded to said
company; and
WHEREAS, additional work may need to be accomplished
during the time the contractor is completing his work and such
additional work can be performed by City forces or by negotiated
contract as deemed in the best interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $69,767 are available from
the account entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of Branam Electric Co., Inc.
received March 19, 1973 for the MARINE STADIUM PARKING LOT LIGHTING -
1973, namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on unit prices, at a total
estimated cost of $60,292 be accepted.
Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to perform certain additional work during the period of
the contract, said work to be performed by City forces or by
negotiated contract as the City Manager deems in the best interests
of the City, the cost of said work not to exceed $2,000.

Section 3. That the City Manager be authorized and
directed to enter into a contract in behalf of the City of Miami
for the MARINE STADIUM PARKING LOT LIGHTING - 1973.
