A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE USE OF THE BAYFRONT
PARK AUDITORIUM AT A REDUCED RATE BY THE DADE
COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR MUSIC EDUCATION
FESTIVALS ON APRIL 24-26, 1973; AND MAY 14-17, 1973;
AND MAY 22-24, 1973.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 7733 provides for use for public purposes of
certain Municipal facilities; and
WHEREAS, the organization requesting use of the City facility at a
reduced rate comes within the purview of organizations which are educational,
literary, scientific, religious or charitable, or is performing a public purpose,
and said use is deemed by this Commission to be for a public purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Commission of the City of Miami confirms granting
of the use of the Bayfront Park Auditorium by the Dade County Schools for
music education festivals on April 24-26, 1973; May 14-17, 1973; and May 22-
24, 1973, at the rate of $150 per day subject to the following terms and condi-
tions;
(a) That said organization shall obtain liability insurance
in such amounts and with such carriers as the City
Manager deems appropriate for the protection of the
City;
(b) Payment of utilities used for the staging of the said events
shall be paid for by the above named organization;
(c) Payment for all City personnel necessary for the opera-
tion of the City's facility during the staging of said events
and payment for all police personnel required for the
staging of said events deemed necessary by the facility
manager shall be paid by the organization;
(d) Payment for all costs necessary for the cleanup of the
City's facility after staging said events deemed necessary
by the facility manager shall be paid by the organization.
