RESOLUTION NO. 73l`/ 93
A RESOLUTION ORDERING N.W. 29 STREET.
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4361 AND
DESIGNATING THE PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE MADE.FOR
A PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF AS N.W.
29 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
H-4361; AND ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$43,000 FROM THE HIGHWAY GENERAL OBLIGATION
BOND FUND FOR PRELIMINARY EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, use of N.W. 29 Street has rapidly
increased in serving abutting industrial and commercial
areas and as an East-West Artery; and
WHEREAS, heavy traffic volume has reduced
pavement to a condition less than desirable; and
WHEREAS, this improvement would be an extension
of the full width development of N.W. 29 Street to the
east; and
21 WHEREAS, there is a need to widen and completely
22 rebuild the existing pavement and provide concrete curb
23 and gutter for vehicular and pedestrian safety; and
24 WHEREAS, this is one of the first three projects
25 to be engineered with the aid of Private Engineering
26 Consultants;
27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
28 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
29 Section 1. A Local Improvement described as
.0 N.W. 29 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4361 shall be made under
31 Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami as amended,
32 located on N.W. 29 Street between N.W. 7 Avenue and N.W.
33 17 Avenue.

Section 2. This Improvement shall include
clearing and grading, excavating and filling, construction
of a full width asphaltic concrete pavement consisting of
limerock base material and asphalt binder and surface
courses, concrete curb and gutter, drainage structures and
landscaping as specified and described in the Standard City
of Miami Specifications for Public Works projects.
Section 3. This Improvement shall be designated
in all proceedings and assessments as N.W. 29 STREET
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4361 and the property against
which special assessments shall be made for a portion of
the cost thereof, hereunder shall be designated as
NW 29 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4361.
Section 4. The sum of $43,000 shall be allocated
from the Highway General Obligation Bond Fund for preliminary
expense.
