RESOLUTION NO.;216.11ATI7A,
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED FEBRUARY 20,
1973 OF MARKS BROTHERS CO., NOT INC. IN THE ESTIMATED
AMOUNT OF $184,795. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NORTHERN
DRAINAGE PROJECT E-28; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$206,970. FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "STORM SEWER
BOND FUND"; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT THEREFOR
WHEREAS, bids were received February 20, 1973 for the
construction of NORTHERN DRAINAGE PROJECT E-28; and
WHEREAS, Funds in the amount of $206,970. are available
for allocation from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund"; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of Marks
Brothers Co., Not Inc. in the amount of $184,795. is the lowest bid
(acceptable) and recommends that contract be awarded to said company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the bid of Marks Brothers Co., Not Inc.
received February 20, 1973 for the construction of NORTHERN DRAINAGE
PROJECT E-28, namely Alternate Base Bid II of Proposal, being Items
I thru 43 omitting Items 10, 16 & 41, based on unit prices, at a
total cost of $184,795. be accepted.
Section 2. That the amount of $206,970. be allocated from
the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund".
Section 3. That the City Manager be authorized and directed
to enter into a contract in behalf of the City of Miami for the
construction of NORTHERN DRAINAGE PROJECT E-28.
