A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED
FEBRUARY 16, 1973, OF CENTRAL CONCRETE
OF MEDLEY, INC., FOR FURNISHING READY
MIX CONCRETE AT A COST OF $18.80 PER
CUBIC YARD, AS REQUIRED, FOR THE PERIOD
MARCH 15, 1973 TO MARCH 15, 1974 FOR USE
BY THE OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR, AFTER
FIRST HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS ARE
AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, bids were received on February 16, 1973, by
the City Manager and City Clerk for furnishing Ready Mix Concrete
at a cost of $18.80 per cubic yard, as required, for the period
March 15, 1973 to March 15, 1974 for use by the Operations Divi-
sion of the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Central Concrete of Medley, Inc., is the lowest and best bid and
recommends that the same be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received February 16, 1973 of
Central Concrete of Medley, Inc., for furnishing Ready Mix Con-
crete at a cost of $18.80 per cubic yard, as required, for the
period March 15, 1973 to March 15, 1974 for use by the Operations
Division of the Public Works Department, be and the same is,
hereby accepted.

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to instruct the Purchasing Agent of the City of
Miami to issue a purchase order for the material described
in Section 1 above, after first having determined that funds•
are available.
