RESOLUTION NO. 73-139
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROPER
OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO
PAY TO MRS. DORIS C. BARTON THE
SUM OF $150.00 IN ADDITION TO $24.00
PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED TO COVER
EXPENSES INCURRED IN CARING FOR HER
DOG, PEACH, WHO WAS SPRAYED BY A
CITY OF MIAMI MAINTENANCE CREW.
WHEREAS, the dog, Peach, owned by Mrs. Doris C.
Barton, was injured when a City of Miami maintenance
crew sprayed it with kerosene; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Doris C. Barton had to take her
dog, Peach, to the veterinarian which caused her to lose
considerable time from work and caused her to incur con-
sideration expenses in order to care for her dog, Peach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission in Resolution No.
72-802, has authorized payment of $24.00 to Mrs. Doris C.
Barton on account of the aforesaid accident;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF 24IAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the proper officials of the City
of Miami are hereby authorized to pay to Mrs. Doris C.
Barton the sum of $150.00 in addition to $24.00 previously
authorized to compensate her for the time she missed from
work and other expenses she incurred in caring for her
dog, Peach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22 day of February ,1973.
