RE SOLUTION NO.73 ~ /dada.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO PAY TO FLORA BELL MILTON,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE
SUM OF $400.00 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF HER CLAIM AGAINST TIM CITY
OF MIAMI FOR ALLEGED PERSONAL INJURIES
SUSTAINED BY HER, UPON THE EXECUTION OF
A RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI
FROM ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, the Plaintiff, Flora Bell Milton, filed an
action against the City of Miami in the Circuit Court of
Dade County, bearing Number 72-15446, alleging that she
was unlawfully arrested and unlawfully imprisoned in a City
police car on or about May 12, 1972; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the Office
of the City Attorney and said office recommends that this
claim be settled for the sum of $400.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby directed to pay to Flora Bell Milton, without the
admission of liability, the sum of $400.00 in full and
complete settlement of her claim against the City of Miami
for alleged personal injuries sustained by her, upon the
execution of a release releasing the City of Miami from
all claims and demands.
