RESOLUTION NO.:TY-e
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF GOODWIN, INC. FOR THE N.W. 54 STREET
SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS-1973, AT A
TOTAL COST OF $27,275.00, AND AUTHORIZING
A FINAL PAYMENT OF $2,862.50.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated January 4,
1973 between the City of Miami and Goodwin, Inc. for the
N.W. 54 STREET SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS-1973; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed
and Goodwin, Inc. has furnished the required documents
certifying that all bills for labor, materials, etc. have
been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract;
and
WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $18,000.00
but after the work was started it was found that more deteri-
oration existed than anticipated. To take care of the extra
work the scope of the contract was increased $12,000.00 on
January 11, 1973 by Resolution No. 73-31, making the total
contract amount $30,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that
the completed work be accepted and final payment made to
Goodwin, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the completed work performed by
Goodwin, Inc. under contract dated January 4, 1973 for the

N.W. 54 STREET SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS-1973 be and the
same is hereby accepted at a total cost of $27,275.00.
Section 2. That the proper officials of the City of
Miami are hereby authorized and directed to pay Goodwin, Inc.
a balance of $2,862.50 as full and final payment for all work
performed and all materials furnished in connection with the
contract for the N.W. 54 STREET SANITARY SEWER. MODIFICATIONS-
1973.
