A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED JANUARY
9, 1973 OF SOUTHERN GUN DISTRIBUTORS FOR
FURNISHING PISTOL PRIMERS, SMOKELESS POWDERS
AND 25 SHOTGUNS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE
AT A TOTAL COST OF $4,634.50, AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO CAUSE A PURCHASE ORDER TO
BE ISSUED THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Manage and City Clerk
on January 9, 1973 for furnishing 300,000 rounds of pistol primers, 30 cans
of smokeless powder and 25 shotguns for use by the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid received of
SOUTHERN GUN DISTRIBUTORS is the lowest and best bid acceptable, and
recommends that a purchase order be awarded to said firm;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the bid of SOUTHERN GUN DISTRIBUTORS received
January 9, 1973 for furnishing the following items for the Department of
Police:
Pistol Primer
Smokeless Powder
12 Gauge Shotguns
$1,632.00
1,215.00
1,787.50
be, and the same is hereby, accepted at a total cost of $4,734.50.
Section 2: That the City Manager is directed to cause a
purchase order therefor.

30 CANS OF SMOKELESS POWDER AND 2:3
SHOTGUNS; AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO IN-
STRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI TO ISSUE PURCHASE
ORDERS, AS REQUIRED, AFTER FIRST
HAVING DETERMINED THAT FUNDS ARE
/AVAILABLE.

WHEREAS, bids were received on January 9, 1973 by the
City Manager and City Clerk for furnishing 300,000 rounds of
pistol primers, 30 cans of smokeless powder and 25 shotguns
for the City of Miami Police Department of the type and prices
listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of
Southern Gun Distributors is the lowest and best bid and rec-
ommends that the same be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION GF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received January 9, 1973 of
Southern Gun Distributors, for furnishing pistol primers, smoke-
less powder and shotguns for the City of Miami Police Department
in the amounts and for the prices indicated below:

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Agent of the City of Miami
to issue purchase orders for the purchasing of items described
in Section 1 above, after first having determined that funds
are available.
