A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF J. P. EQUIPMENT, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF CENTRAL DRAINAGE PROJECT E-25 AT A TOTAL
COST OF $193,474.50; ASSESSING $1,200.00 AS
LIQUIDATED DAMAGES FOR 15 DAYS OVERRUN OF
CONTRACT TIME; AND AUTHORIZING, AFTER ALL
ADJUSTMENTS, A FINAL PAYMENT OF $34,044.15.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated March 1, 1972
.between The City of Miami and J. P. Equipment, Inc. for the
construction of CENTRAL DRAINAGE PROJECT E-25; and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed
and J. P. Equipment, Inc. has furnished the required documents
certifying that all bills for labor, materials, etc., have
been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid contract;
and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that J. P. Equipment, Inc.
be assessed the sum of $1,200.00 as liquidated damages for 15
clays overrun of contract time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by J. P.
Equipment, Inc. under contract dated March 1, 1972 for the
construction of CENTRAL DRAINAGE PROJECT E-25 is hereby accepted
at a total cost of $193,474.50.
Section 2. The sum of $1,200.00 is hereby assessed
against the Contractor as liquidated damages for 15 days over-
run of contract time.
Section 3. The proper officials of The City of Miami

are hereby authorized and directed to pay to J. P. Equipment,
Inc., after adjustments, a balance of $34,044.15 as full and
final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished
in connection with the contract for CENTRAL DRAINAGE PROJECT
E-25.
