RESOLUTION NO. 73 -",,
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO PAY TO MRS. DOROTHY MAYS, AS
MOTHER AND NEXT FRIEND OF MICHAEL MAYS,
A MINOR, WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY,
THE SUM OF $49.50 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS, AGAINST
THE CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE EXECUTION OF A
RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM ALL
CLAIMS AND DEMANDS..
WHEREAS, MRS. DOROTHY MAYS, as Mother and next
friend of Michael Mays, Minor, filed a claim against the
City of Miami for damage incurred in the amount of $49.50
for property loss resulting from the theft of One Schwinn
26" bicycle, Serial Number B-81, property of Michael Mays,
from the City of Miami bicycle pound, on or about April 25,
1972; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the office
of the City Attorney and said office recommends that this
claim be settled for the sum of $49.50;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby authorized to pay to MRS. DOROTHY MAYS and MICHAEL MAYS,
without the admission of liability, the sum of $49.50
in full and complete settlement of all claims and demands
against the City of Miami, upon the execution of a release
releasing the City of Miami from all claims and demands.
