HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-73-0077FHW/nla 1-11-73 " RESOLUTION NO. 7‘,60.- /7 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED NOVEMBER 7, 1972, OF HELCO SAFETY EQUIPMENT CORP., FOR FURNISHING SAFETY SHOES, AS RE- QUIRED, CITY-WIDE, FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1973 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1973, AS LISTED HEREIN, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS REQUIRED, AFTER FIRST HAVING DE- TERMINED THAT FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. WHEREAS, bids were received on November 7, 1972 by the City Manager and City Clerk for furnishing safety shoes, as required, City-wide, for the period January 1, 1973 through December 31, 1973, of the type and prices listed below; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bid of Helco Safety Equipment Corp. is the lowest and best bid and recommends that the same be accepted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received November 7, 1972 of Helco Safety Equipment Corp., for furnishing Safety Shoes, as required, by various•City Departments of the following type and prices indicated below: I Helco #500 - Steel Toed leather oxford - $13.50 II Helco #H908 - Steel Z•oed Foundry Boot 17.70 III Helco #H542 - Steel Toed 6" lace -up Shoe 14.50 be and the same is hereby accepted. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and direct- ed to instruct the Purchasing Agent of the City of Miami to issue purchase orders for the purchasing of the items described in Section 1 above, after first having determined that funds are available. �r PASSED AND ADOPTED this day o 1973.
