RESOLUTION NO. 73''r11;
A RESOLUTION ORDERING BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT H-4357 AND DESIGNATING THE
PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
SHALL BE MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST
THEREOF AS BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT H-4357; AND ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$3,000.00 FROM THE HIGHWAY GENERAL OBLIGA-
TION BOND FUND FOR PRELIMINARY EXPENSES.
WHEREAS, the property in the vicinity of N.E. 62 Street,
N. E. 63 Street, N.E. 64 Street and N.E. 64 Terrace, between
Biscayne Boulevard and Biscayne Bay and N.E. 7 Avenue, has
developed rapidly as a multi -family residential area; and
WHEREAS, Legion Memorial Park is located adjacent to
this area and construction is now underway to improve exist-
ing facilities within the park; and.
WHEREAS, portions of N.E. 62 Street and N.E. 63 Street
and all of N.E. 64 Street between Biscayne Boulevard and
Biscayne Bay have recently been rebuilt to full width develop-
ment as part of a subdivision improvement requirement; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to rebuild the remainder of
the existing streets =_n the area and provide curb and gutter
for vehicular and pedestrian safety with proper drainage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local Improvement described as BISCAYNE
EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4357 shall be made under Section 56
of the Charter of the City of Miami, as amended, located as
follows:

NE 62 Street (between Biscayne Blvd. and 750 feet ± East)
NE 63 Street (between Biscayne Blvd. and 550 feet ± East)
NE 64 Terrace (between Biscayne Blvd. and NE 7 Avenue)
NE 7 Avenue (between NE 64 Street and 350 feet ± North)
Section 2. This Improvement shall include clearing and
grading, construction of asphaltic concrete pavement consist-
ing of 8-inch limerock base and a 1-1/2 inch thick type I
asphaltic concrete surface course. It will also include
necessary intersections, returns, concrete curb and gutter,
drainage facilities and landscaping where needed.
Section 3. This Improvement shall be designated in all
proceedings and assessments as BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVE-
MENT H-4357 and the property against which special assessments
shall be made for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder
shall be designated as BISCAYNE EAST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT H-4357.
Section 4. The sum of $3,000.00 is allocated from the
Highway General Obligation Bond Fund for preliminary expenses.
