RESOLUTION NO. 7- 6 d
A RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY DESIGNATING
THAT THE THOROUGHFARE BETWEEN S. E.
8TH STREET AND S.F. 12TH STREET,
PRESENTLY KNOWN AS S. E. 1ST AVENUE,.
BE CHANGED TO BRICKELL PLAZA. THIS
THOROUGHFARE SHALL BE KNOWN BY BOTH
NAMES FOR A PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS
TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE TIME TO FACILITATE
CHANGEOVER.
WHEREAS, a Petition has been received, joined
in by all abutting property owners along the thoroughfare
in question, requesting a change of name; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held to
consider renaming S. E. lst Avenut between S. E. 8th
Street and S. E. 12th Street to Brickell Plaza;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RrSOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the thoroughfare between
S. E. 8th Street and S. E. 12th Street, presently known
as S. E. lst Avenue, be officially renamed and designated
as Brickell Plaza.
Section 2. That this thoroughfare shall be
known by both names for a period of six (6) months to
provide adequate time to facilitate changeover.

Section 3. That the proper City officials of
the City of Miami be instructed to take whatever steps
necessary to provide for renaming of the thoroughfare
in question. ��
