RESOLUTION NO. 73-47
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HOPE THAT
PRESIDENT NIXON'S PRESENT PEACE PLAN WILL
BRING PEACE TO THE WORLD NOT ONLY FOR THE
PRESENT GENERATION BUT FOR GENERATIONS TO
COME AND WISHING HIM GODSPEED IN HIS EFFORTS.
WHEREAS, it is the ardent hope of all peace -loving
individuals that President Richard M. Nixon's present peace
plan will bring peace to the world not only for the present
generation but for generations to come; and
WHEREAS, President Nixon exerted every possible
effort in behalf of the people of the United States to bring
about such lasting peace; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Commission of the
City of Miami to express to President Nixon, in behalf of the
people of the City of Miami, their gratification in his ac-
complishment of the peace plan and to wish him Godspeed in
his unfaltering efforts to bring about such peace with honor;
and
WHEREAS, a copy of this Resolution is being sent to
President Richard M. Nixon by the Clerk of the City of Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF M IAM I :
Section 1. In behalf of the people of the City of
Miami, the Commission of the City of Miami hereby expresses
to President Richard M. Nixon, the hope that his present
peace plan will bring peace to the world not only for the

Godspeed in his efforts towards such peace.
