RESOLUTION NO. 7 -- /
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA TO
CANCEL AND DISCHARGE THE 1972 COUNTY REAL
PROPERTY TAXES ASSESSED ON THE LAND AS MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY HEREOF,
AS SAID PROPERTIES HAVE BEEN ACQUIRED FOR
AND ARE BEING USED AS THE DOWNTOWN GOVERNMENT
CENTER; CANCELLING AND DISCHARGING 1972 CITY
OF MIAMI AD VALOREM REAL PROPERTY TAXES
AGAINST SAID PROPERTIES, AND AUTHORIZING
THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE COUNTY TO
TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami acquired the real property
as set forth in this Resolution for the use and benefit of the
public for the Downtown Government Center; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami is making application for
the cancellation and discharge of taxes and the lien against
the properties securing them under the provisions of Section
192.59, Florida Statutes;,and
WHEREAS, the County Commission in prior years has
granted exemption from taxation under similar circumstances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. the following described lands are devoted
to the use of the public and are to be used as the Downtown
Government Center. The date of acquisition, the amount of
taxes due and the legal descriptions of the properties are
as follows:

Legal Description
The North 100 feet of Lots 9 and 10,
Block 75, North, according to the
plat thereof made by A. L. Kowlton
recorded in Plat Book B, Page 41,
Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
less and except the North 10 feet there-
of and less and except that part there-
of acquired for right of way by the
State Road Department of Florida by
proceedings in condemnation filed in
the Circuit Court of the Eleventh
Judicial Circuit in and for Dade County,
Florida, Law No. 66L-4530, Jack Gordon,
et al (Gulf Oil Corporation) Defendants.
The South 100 feet of Lots 11 and 12,
Block 75, NORTH, CITY OF MIAMI, accord-
ing to the r?at thereof, as recorded
in Plat Book "B", at Page 41, of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida;
a/k/a 267 N.W. 4th Street, Miami,
Florida.
The South 50 feet of the East Half of
Lot 19, and the South 50 feet of Lot
20, and the South 100 feet of the West
Half of Lot 19, in Block 75 NORTH,
CITY OF MIAMI, according to the Plat
thereof, recorded in Plat Book "B",
at Page 41, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
The North fifty feet of Lots 11 and 12
in Block 88 of MIAMI NORTH, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat
Book "B", Page 41, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
The South 40 feet of Lot 11, Block 88,
NORTH, CITY OF MIAMI, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book B,
Page 41, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
All of Lot Sixteen (16) Block

Copies of the tax bills are attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 2. That the Commission of the City of Miami
requests the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County, Florida,
pursuant to the authority as set forth in F.S. 192.59, to cancel
and discharge the 1972 real property taxes assessed against the
properties described in Section 1 hereof, and the lien against
the properties securing said taxes be cancelled and discharged.
Section 3. That the City of Miami 1972 ad valorem
real property taxes assessed against the properties described
in Section 1 hereof are hereby cancelled and discharged, and the
liens against the properties securing said taxes are hereby
cancelled and discharged, and the proper officials of Dade County,

Florida, are hereby authorized and empowered to make proper
entries upon the records to accomplish said cancellation of
the City of Miami taxes for the year 1972 and discharge of
liens, and to do all things necessary to make the same effective.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
cause to be delivered to the Board of County Commissioners a
certified copy of this Resolution.
