A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE "OFFER OF FEDERAL GRANT" IN THE AMOUNT OF $229,500 FOR LEJEUNE GARDFNS SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO IMPRESS THE OFFICIAL SEAL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI THEREON UPON AS MANY COUNTERPARTS THEREOF AS MAY BE NECESSARY; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PROPER OFFICER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO FORWARD TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF POLLUTION CONTROL THREE COPIES OF SAID AGREEMENT TOGETHER WITH OTHER RELATED FORMS REQUIRED, ALL RELATING TO PROJECT IDENTIFIED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT UNDER THE NUMBER C120360. WHEREAS, The City of Miami, Florida, organized and existing under and by virtue of the Laws of the State of Florida (hereinafter called the "APPLICANT) has heretofore submitted an application to the United States of America, Federal Water Pollution Control Administra- tion (hereinafter called the "GOVERNEMENT") for a Federal Grant to cover the eligible portion of the cost of construction of the LeJeune Gardens Sanitary Sewer Improvement; and WHEREAS, the GOVERNMENT has approved said application and tendered an offer of Federal Grant in the amount of $229,500 subject to acceptance by The City of Miami and execution by the APPLICANT of' a certain Grant Agreement (hereinafter called the "GRANT AGREEMENT"; and WHEREAS, it is now in order for The City of Miami to accept said Grant, execute said Grant Agreement and provide such other related forms as required; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the offer of a Federal Grant of $229,500 to The City of Miami for the construction of proposed Waste Water Treat- ment facilities known as LcJeune Gardens Sanitary Sewer Improvement made under the provisions of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amend- ments of 1972 and representing seventy-five percent (75%) of the Environmental Protection Agency eligible project cost be, and the same 73 .3 2" is hereby accepted. Section 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforesaid Grant Agreement in the name and in behalf of the APPLICANT in as many counterparts as may be necessary. Section 3. That the City Clerk be, and he is authorized and directed to affix or impress the official seal of The City of Miami, Florida upon said Grant Agreement and to attest the same. Section 4. That the proper officer of The City of Miami be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to forward to the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration, through the State of Florida Department of Pollution Control, the said executed counterparts of the said Grant Agreement, together with such other documents evidenc— ing the approval and authorization to execute the same, as may be required by the Government.
