A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO ?AY TO MRCS. FANNIE FALANA, A
WIDOW, AS MOTHER AND NEXT FRIEND OF
GARLAND FALANA, WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF
LIABILITY, THE SUM OF $20.81 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST
THE CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE EXECUTION OF A
RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM ALL
CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fannie Falana, a Widow, as Mother and
next friend of Garland Falana, age 15, filed a claim against
the City of Miami for damage incurred in the amount of $20.81
to replace parts removed from a 1971 Honda motorcycle owned
by said Garland Falana while same was in the City of Miami
auto pound from October 16 through October 26, 1972; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the office
of the City Attorney and said office recommends that this
claim be settled for the sum of $20.81;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby authorized to pay to Mrs. Fannie Falana, without the
admission of liability, the sum of $20.81 in full and
complete
settlement of all claims and demands against the City of Miami,
upon the execution of a release releasing the City of Miami
from all claims and demands.
