A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OP THE
POOL & KENT COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT Off'
$26,500.00; ACCEPTING THE BID OF DOCK
& MARINE CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT
OP $ S , 7 60 . 00 EO'R THE CONSTRUCTION OP THE
COCONUT GROVE MARINA - MODIFICATIONS - 1974;
ALLOCATING AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT 0P $15,790.00
FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "CAPITAL IMPROVE-
MENT FUND UNALLOCATED FUNDS''; AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH SAID FIRMS.
WHEREAS, RESOLUTION NO. 74-492, passed on June 13,
1974, authorized funds in the amount of $35,000.00 for the
construction of the COCONUT GROVE MARINA - MODIFICATIONS -
1974; and
WHEREAS, during the course of the design for the
Coconut Grove Marina, it was determined that ten (10) piles
should be driven at the Dinner Key Marina, and should be
included in this contract although there has been no alloca-
tion as yet for the aforesaid ten (10) piles; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on November 13,
1974 for the COCONUT GROVE MARINA - MODIFICATIONS - 1974; and
WHEREAS, the bids of the Pool & Kent Company in the
amount of $26,500.00 and Dock & Marine Construction, Inc. were
the lowest responsive bids; and
WHEREAS, $11,300.00 of the $35,000.00 allocation was
expended by Property Maintenance to repair buildings and dock
repairs at the Coconut Grove Marina; and
WHEREAS, an additional amount of $15,790.00 is
necessary to be allocated in order to have the necessary funding
for construction of the Coconut Grove Marina - Modifications - 1974;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The November 13, 1974 bids of the
Pool & Kent Company in the amount of $26,500.00 for Items #1
and #2 for the Coconut Grove Marina - Modificatior.a - 1974;
and the bid of Dock & Marine Construction, Inc. in the amount
of $8,760.00 for Items #3, 04 and #5 for the Coconut Grove
Marina - Modifications - 1974 be, and the same are hereby,
accepted.
Section 2. The additional amount of $15,790.00
be, and is hereby, allocated from the account entitled
"Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds" to cover the
additional cost of the work at the Coconut Grove and Dinner
Key Marinas.
Section 3. The City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute a contract with said firms.
