RESOLUTION NO. 74-1382
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED FROM
LAMAR UNIFORM CO. FOR FURNISHING COVERALLS
AND JACKETS FOR USE BY THE RESCUE DIVISION
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AT A UNIT COST OF
$16.95 FOR COVERALLS AND $14.35 FOR JACKETS
AT A TOTAL COST OF $1958.40; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING
DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR
FROM FUNDS PROVIDED IN THE 1974-75 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received November 12, 1974
for providing coveralls and jackets for use by the Rescue
Division of the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid
of Lamar Uniform Co. for providing coveralls and windbreakers,
as required,be accepted as the bid most advantageous to the City;
and
WHEREAS, funds for the above described purpose have
been provided in the 1974-75 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of Lamar Uniform Co. for furnishing
coveralls and jackets, as required, for use by the Rescue
Division of the Fire Department, at a unit cost of $16.95 for
coveralls and $14.35 for jackets at a total cost of $1958.40 be,
and the same is hereby, accepted.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and is hereby,
authorized to instruct the Purchasing Department to issue a
Purchase Order for the coveralls and jackets designated in
Section
1974.
1 hereof from funds provided in the 1974-75 budget.
