A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AND RATIFYING THE
ACTION OF THE CITY MANAGER IN ISSUING A
PURCHASE ORDER TO STEELCO PIPE CO. FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF THE MIAMI SPRINGS COUNTRY
CLUB SANITARY SEWER CONNECTION IN THE ESTIMATED
AMOUNT OF $4,692.42; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$5,000 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND - UNALLOCATED FUNDS" TO COVER
THE ESTIMATED INSTALLATION COST AND OTHER
EXPENSES; AND DIRECTING THAT A PURCHASE ORDER
BE ISSUED THEREFOR
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Springs has recently
constructed sanitary sewers in the street right of way abutting
the Miami Springs Country Club. They have notified us that the
sewers are available and, in accordance with the Miami Springs
Code, we have 90 days to connect to the sewer. This 90 day
period expires on December 8, 1974; and
WHEREAS, competitive bids were received and Steelco
Pipe Co. submitted the lowest responsible bid for the installation
of the Miami Springs Country Club Sanitary Sewer Connection; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds
for the abovenamed project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the action of the City Manager in
issuing a Purchase Order to Steelco Pipe Co. for the Installation
of the Miami Springs Country Club Sanitary Sewer Connection be,
and it is hereby, confirmed and ratified.
Section 2. That the amount of $5,000 be, and it is
hereby, allocated from the account entitled "Capital Improvement
Fund - Unallocated Funds" for the installation of the Miami
Springs Country Club Sanitary Sewer Connection and other expenses.
Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to issue a purchase order to Steelco Pipe Co. in the
estimated amount of $4,692.42 for the INSTALLATION OF THE MIAMI
SPRINGS COUNTRY CLUB SANITARY SEWER CONNECTION.
