RESOLUTION No..74-1359
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING RESOLUTION NO. 74-1056
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST
THAT DADE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRAFFIC
AND TRANSPORTATION IMPLEMENT THE RECOM-
MENDATIONS PERTAINING TO ONE-WAY STREETS,
ANGLE PARKING, PARKING RESTRICTIONS
AND LEFT -TURN POCKETS; THAT THE OFF-
STREET PARKING AUTHORITY STUDY THE FEASI-
BILITY OF CONSTRUCTING PARKING FACILITIES
AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS, EXPAND METERED
PARKING IN COMMERCIAL AREAS, AND INCREASE
ENFORCEMENT OF PARKING REGULATIONS; AND
THAT THE METRO TRANSIT AGENCY STUDY THE
FEASIBILITY OF REROUTING EASTBOUND BUSES
CURRENTLY USING SOUTHWEST SIXTH STREET,
AS CONTAINED.✓IN THE SUMMARY OF RECOMMEN-
DATIONS ATTACHED.
WHEREAS, the City Commission at its September 27,
1974, meeting passed and adopted by a five to zero vote
Resolution No. 74-1056, accepting the "Summary of Recom-
mendations" with the following modifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMIS-
SION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 74-1056 be
and ,the samec:is hereby confirmed:
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to request that the Dade County
Department of Traffic and Transportation implement the
recommendations pertaining to one-way streets, angle park-
ing, parking restrictions, and left -turn pockets, as don-
tained in the`"Summary of RecommendatiotsU°attached hereto.
Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to request that the Off -Street
Parking Authority study the feasibility of constructing
parking facilities at certain locations, expand metered

Section 4. That the city manager is hereby
authorized and directed to request that the Metropoli-
tan Transit Agency study the feasibility of rerouting east-
bound buses currently using Southwest Sixth Street.
