AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there exists.a dangerous situation, at all
City of Miami Stadiums brought on by patrons taking glass
bottles and metal beverage containers into the stands; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the. Department of Public
Facilities has recommended the adoption of an Ordinance
banning glass bottles or metal containers on City Stadium
premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA':
Section 1. A new section is hereby added to
Article I; "In General.", Chapter 39 of the Code of.the City
of Miami, as follows:
It shall be unlawful to bring glass
bottles or metal containers into •
City of Miami Stadiums (Orange Bowl,
. Miami Stadium, and Marine. Stadium.)
Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of
Section l of this Ordinance shall be fined or imprisoned in
accordance with Section 3 (aa) of the Charter of the City of
Miami'(Chapter 10847, Acts of Florida, 1925, as amended), and
Section 1-6 of the Code of'the City of Miami, Florida.

of this' Ordinance shall become and be Made a part .of the
.Code of the City of Miami, Floridat that the sections of
this ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish
such intention;. and that the word "ordinance" may be changed
to "section'', "article", or other. appropriate word.
• Section 4. All Ordinances, Code Sections or
:parts
thereof in conflict ' are hereby repealed.
Section 5. The provisions of this Ordinance shall
become effective on JA,NUARY 16, 1975
