RESOLUTION No. 74-1339
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED FROM
DREW CHEMICAL, CORP. VOA FURNISHING BOILER
CHEMICALS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION,
INCINERATOR DIVISION AT A COST OF $4,820.00;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT TO
ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS MATERIAL, AFTER
FIRST DETERMINING THAT FUNDS BUDGETED FOR THIS
PURPOSE ARE AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received October 29, 1974 for furnishing boiler chemicals for
the Department of Sanitation, Incinerator Division; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-three (23)
potential suppliers and two (2) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that Drew
Chemical Corporation who submitted the lowest responsive bid
of $4,820.00, be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid received from Drew Chemical
Corporation for furnishing boiler chemicals for the Department
of Sanitation, Incinerator Division be, and is hereby, accepted
at a cost of $4,820.00.
Section 2. The City Manager be, and is hereby,
authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Department
to issue a Purchase Order for this material, after first
determining that funds budgeted for this purpose are available.
